Om Mani Padme Hum
Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I've been busy finishing my book Pleiadian Prophecy, which was just published on Amazon.. My wife Nia and I have been enjoying the wonderful kirtan bands in Minneapolis. I was reminded of the very first time I chanted, and wanted to share that story.
I had read about chanting "Om Mani Padme Hum" in a scifi book I read in the 1970's, possibly by Theodore Sturgeon. I did not know how popular and powerful a chant it was. In 1974 I was driving on a back road in northern Minnesota, returning to Duluth from a fishing trip. It was a long drive and partly out of boredom I started chanting as I drove. After about twenty minutes somehow I tuned into everyone chanting "Om Mani Padme Hum". This sounded like a celestial choir of angels! I swerved and almost drove off the road. I stopped on the shoulder and listened, and the chorus continued for maybe another five minutes. I had quit chanting or maybe it would have lasted longer.
This has never happened again. This is still my favorite chant, and I'm grateful for this gift from spirit. I'm also grateful there were no other cars on the road!
